We love Gymnastics!

We started Walter in Gymnastics in hopes that he would get used to listening to a teacher and following a class type structure. At first he did a lot of running around trying to join other classes. After a while he was following Miss Angela's every instruction....well kinda! Last week he had his final show and was given his very first trophy! We were so proud:)

The boys were Walters biggest fans and they watched his every move!

He Loved the part of class where they all lined up and waited their turn to drink from the water fountain!
So excited for his first trophy!!!

Where has the time gone?

So much has happened since we last spoke....I went away on a week long business trip, Scott turned 33 on March 1st and I turned 32 Yesterday!

Looking at my calender yesterday I went into complete shock...April is around the corner and that means my little babies are almost one year old. This past year has been a complete blur...did we really make it through. LOL

How can these precious little things be one year old? This was their first experience with suckers and cowboy hats. They were in heaven.

Cute buns!

Oh How I Dread Rainy Days

It’s been a tough day indoors for my crew. Wyatt has had a fever for three days and as much as I wish I was one of those moms who takes a sick babe out and about…. I’m not. Plus it’s raining and it’s not stopping any time soon. The kids started climbing the walls around two. I had cleaned the house top to bottom by around 2:15 so I had to come up with something….and a dance party seem to really hit the spot.

Walter really busted it out to Adam Levine 'Moves like Jagger

As you can see by the determination on his face he did not take our dance off lightly.
Forecast is looking like dance parties all week…..wish me luckJ

Love to Love Ya

Our Valentines day was full of sugar highs and sugar lows.

Walter thought is was his birthday party all day and was convinced we should celebrate by eating candy non-stop.The boys all had their heart shaped waffles for breakfast and continued to fight through the sugar high for the rest of the day. My valentines present was that all three boys were in bed by 7:30 and Scott and I were able to eat dinner in a quite house and actually hear what eachother was saying.

I was inspired by my friend the pioneer Woman to make a quick list of things I love on this holiday so here it is in no particular order:)

I Love.......................

The sound of the dishwasher
Long drives in the car with Scott
Vacuuming
My faith, Gods Favor and His Forgiveness
Well rested make-up by Bare Escentuals
When my sister calls me first every day
The sound of the coffee pot in the morning
My husband’s ability to calm my anxieties
Cousins Jack and Sammy with their big smiles..so contagious
A bed that is made with crisp clean sheets
The way Walter looks at me when he wakes up from a nap
How my dad and father-in-law are best friends
Baby wipes for cleaning my house
Lots of white wine at Happy hour
That Garrett is a Coug
The silence in the car after you turn off the engine
When I get dressed, brush my hair and go to work
My boys
My mother’s generosity
Goldfish crackers and cold Coors light
When Scott smiles at me (so hot)
Wyatt’s big teeth and great laugh
When I finally sit on my couch at night and my house is clean
Having all boys
DVR
The way Smith lights up when you talk to him
My mother-in-laws ability to meet anyone and become a friend
Taking a nap on the couch with my husband while watching golf or football on TV
The way my dad reminds me of Grandpa Walt
Anti-aging face lotion
Driving through Eastern Washington and guessing what is in the fields
When my father-in-law laughs
How my sister-in-law Erin always has amazing hair
Camping at the lake all summer long
How my brother-in-law Eric acts like a little kid when he gets excited about something
Getting in the car after my workout is done
Going to Costco with my dad, eating samples and walking down every aisle
How my brother-in-law Brian knows a little bit about everything
Seeing my friends whenever I can and it feeling like we haven’t skipped a beat
How my sister- in-law Michelle looks amazing with no make-up and she has such amazing patience.
Christmas decorations
Big turkey sandwiches
How Cousins Sully and Sela love their mom more than anyone on earth

Its Potty Time!

Walter is officially potty training and spends most of his days like this....

I know it’s terrible…your thinking the poor thing is probably freezing.

Being the outdoorsman that he is, he has really taken a liking to peeing outside

Have not quite figured out how in the world I am supposed to leave the house.

Please don't judge me if next time you see us Walter is either still in a diaper or naked from the waist down!
I am determined to only have two in diapers...wish me luck!

I want a do-over!

I just have to laugh about it or else I’ll cry and drink way too much chardonnay!
The twins woke up from their morning nap NOT happy. They both have red raw bums........ we are talking bright red. Every time they pass gas, black dust comes out of them. Obviously something I gave them did not agree with their little bellies. I have gotten so used to feeding a toddler I often forget they cannot handle everything he can. They are not happy with me.  Wyatt cannot even put his little bottom on the ground so he is crawling around on his hands and feet.
I am feeling so bad. Not as bad as I did 20 minutes later when I am vacuuming under the kitchen table on my hands and knees and Wyatt starts screaming bloody murder. Somehow he has gotten his foot under the vacuum and it has taken the top layer of skin off his little foot.  He proceeds to scream for about 45 minutes. Now I am feeling terrible like a very bad mother and at the same time I’m running around the house in a panic trying to get everyone ready to get out the door for the twins 9 month doctor appointment.  It is not easy getting an appointment with our pediatrician and so you do not want to miss one. I can barely think and Wyatt has been screaming going on 50 minutes and Walter is too busy putting Smith in a headlock to sit long enough to get dressed. I open the front door in hopes of enticing him to sit long enough to finish getting ready.
Being outside has become a reward in our house.  It seems I left him outside a bit too long this time because he has gotten in the truck and pushed all the buttons. I do not realize this until I am driving through our neighborhood and the truck will not make turns. I pull over and call Scott in a panic, the truck is broken and we are definitely going to miss the appointment we have been waiting months for. He immediately asks if I am in 4 wheel drive, sure enough Walter has put us into 4 wheel drive. OK, thank you God we are on our way. Wyatt is still crying but at this point I am more concerned with the fact that I glance in the rear view mirror and realize I have totally forgotten to get ready. No concealer, hair in a pony tail, but thank you God I just found a piece of gum in my purse. This is just great! I am quickly brought back to life as Walter walks over to me to see how things are going in the front seat. CRAP! In the madness I have forgotten to buckle him in his car seat. We finally arrive at the appointment only a few minutes late and in we go. I am totally embarrassed at the red bums, my hair, yesterdays make-up, and the black dust coming out of my sons. What really made me throw up my hands was when I am chatting with the doc, not paying attention to my children and Wyatt starts bleeding from the mouth and it is dripping down his chest. I quickly snatch him up to realize he is not bleeding at all he has torn off the bloody Band-Aid from Smith toe  where he got his iron test and he now is chewing on it like a piece of gum.
I give up!
The boys get their shots, scream, look at me like they are never going to forgive me for allowing this day to happen, scream some more, and pass out in complete exhaustion.
Tomorrow cannot come soon enough!

To ease my guilt, I need to say I do not often let Walter just play by himself in the front yard and that is the first time I have ever forgotten to buckle a child in!
Having dinner with the flashing reflectors on their heads

The Second Half

You probably thinking these pictures are so clear and crisp, they look great and nothing like any of the others you have seen. That is because my sister-in-law Michelle took them not me. The second half of our adventure to Spokane we stayed with Uncle Byron and Auntie Shell (this is how Walter refers to them)

Sully, Sela, and Walter all bundled up

Dan the Man!

Waiting for the big ride!

The boys started to get cold and lose their enthusiasm for the great outdoors!

The Hoover's, McKay's, and Cunningham's braved the terrible winter storm to join us for dinner at Brian and Michelle's house. It was complete madness but so much fun.
Walter and Lilly racing after the ball

Walter and Jillian decided to make it a dance party

They broke it down!

Walter loves his Uncle Byron!

And his Auntie Shell!

BFFs

Thank You everyone for such a wonderful trip over the mountains. Now that the boys and I are gone I hope you are all enjoying the peace and quiet! I know I would be:)

The Farm

As the boys have gotten bigger I feel like I spend most of my day in the kitchen. I'm cooking then feeding and by the the time I get the place clean its time for a snack.

This is how I know its time for breakfast.

Smith always wants to feed himself

Wyatt doesn't seem to care how he gets the food just as long as there is a lot of it.

I could just walk around all day picking up or wiping up scary stuff that I cant even make out. The twins constantly are eating things that I did not give them. Leftover waffle from breakfast that was stuck to their brothers PJ's or things that most would consider dangerous that Walter has given them. The shag carpet has turned out to be a terrible idea. They can find things in there that look about a week old. Lets be honest, they eat half their meals in the high chairs and graze on the other half off the floor.

At first I thought it was bad, so dirty. but I do mop almost daily (OK that's a lie, maybe every other day)  I let them have their daily picnic off the hardwoods. Besides its like a scavenger hunt to them, they find it exciting and then I get a few minutes to drink some coffee. Walter on the other hand just wants to drink milk all day long. He goes through about a gallon a week by himself.

In my next house (which we call that the farm because we have decided or I have decided we need to raise these children on small farm. I don't want any animals right away, I already have four! Down the road we will take in uncle Eric's goat) So at the farm I want a enormous kitchen and I want to love every square inch because I think as these boys continue to grow I might not ever leave it. As it is now trips to Costco are becoming a part time gig. If the twins are anything like Walter I will need lots of activities at my finger tips. I'm thinking a lot of land is the answer.

Just being outside is fun for him

If I don't have activities this is what happens...

They wrestle and pummel each other. Thankfully those babies are tuff little dudes and they love their big bro!

We decided to take a trip to see Grandma Margaret and Papa Mike in Chattaroy Washington. They sold their home and are staying with their wonderful friends Jim and Debby on their Horse Farm. Walter and I came out a couple months back a rode Abby, a Tennessee Walker, and Walter has been talking about her ever since.

There she is!

Walter went looking for her as soon as we arrived.

Walter got to feed her dinner with Papa Mike

This is Dan.

He had to brush Dan and get him ready for the big ride.

He definitely knows how to say giddy up Abby!
Move over Woody this here is a real cowboy

The babies liked to watch from the sidelines with their snacks.

The next day it began to snow so we took a walk with the horses through the pasture.
Walter considers himself quite the cowboy.

We had so much fun with Grandma Margaret!

Any place that you need a John Deer to take out the garbage is right up our alley!

Walter became really good friends with Jim. They went on tractor rides and Walter could not get enough of the Jim's new razor.

He went on so many rides he fell asleep on the razor.

We had an amazing time at the Nelson farm! Thank you Jim and Debbie, we love you!

Also a big We love you to Grandma Margaret and Papa Mike!
